PHNOM PENH: A six kilometers road with 12 meters wide that crosses three districts in Phnom Penh will begin its repair since floods has damaged certain parts in the past two years. The road, located in Sre Reach village, was built as a gift of Prime Minister to the people living in the outskirts of Phnom Penh. The groundbreaking ceremony was held this Friday morning under the presidency of Governor of Phnom Penh, Khuong Sreng.

Khuong Sreng has stated that after the outbreak of Covid-19, construction sites were suspended in the country, but after Hun Sen decided to reopen the Kingdom, the road repair can begin. The Governor of Por Senchey District, Hem Darith, was also present in the groundbreaking ceremony. He said the 6,490 meters road will have its repair focused at the inter-Khan geographical area, located in Sangkat Samrong Krom, Khan Por Senchey, Sangkat Snor, Khan Kampol and Sangkat Ponsaing.

The Governor of Phnom Penh has added he proposed a plan to repair the road in the Phnom Penh Development Plan for 2020, but due to the spread of Covid-19 disease, most of the projects were diverted to funds focused on the fight against Covid-19. For this yea, Khuong Sreng has also decided to install a drainage system on both sides of the road.
